Wounds …

Luke Perry
"...trying, unremittingly, to keep everything in balance
But it overlooks important parts; you ... me ... the absence
Excuse the act as though the hurt doesn't ache
An indescribable anguish to break ... you, me
A pierced soul bleeds beyond the fainted wind
Stealing our oxygen; feeling of never to regain vitality
Its reality too final
The moment's survival, beseech, to stifle the pain
The shock of tears are as rain
Suddenly, a progression ... the feeling just the same
Death disheartens because it bears loved ones names
And when the experience of that darkest hour looms
Connects us through memories rekindled by "Wounds"
