The Humanity of Birds

Birds of a feather flock together' - meaning and origin.

Good evening. This short stint of a write is inspired by a devotion I had a few days ago.

Birds of a feather flock together is an old tale of people who act the same tend to flock to one another. The last time I wrote about this it wasn’t, necessarily, in a good light. However, look at the title … “The Humanity of Birds.” Here we are flocking together to be — isolated!!

An oxymoron huh?!

Since I’ve been given the privilege to workout at home I’ve viewed various subjects on YouTube. I try to keep myself abreast with just enough info about the virus, but nothing that will overwhelm me unto fear. Their fear translated through information (YouTube, news, yahoo, internet, etc.) can get the best of anyone. We all must be careful to not be consumed by this.

Anywho~ The oxymoron of us together isolating is quite interesting. In watching YouTube, I came across reports of the stars who have the virus. In reading the comments one stated, “Oh, and they discovered they were people too.” Wow!! That’s exactly right!

Perhaps, this pandemic is, also, to remind us of our humanity. I may be poor! You may be rich! And, yet, we’re all in the same pain …
